Creative Despite War

SYNOPSIS

Despite more than 30 years of conflict, violence, poverty, and fundamentalism, a bold artistic movement is emerging in Afghanistan. Creative Despite War follows four young Afghan artists, including street artist Shamsia Hassani and members of the heavy metal band District Unknown, as they fight to create and exhibit their work in a country where freedom of expression can be life-threatening.
